Graduate Diploma in Transportation Engineering

UITP is collaborating with The Technical University of Munich Asia (TUM Asia) to bring real world case studies from public transport industry experts and trainers to this prestigious programme.

This Graduate Diploma in Transportation Engineering  aims to equip participants with the relevant knowledge from the focus areas of Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning, Road and Rail Infrastructure Design and Development under the guidance of TUM faculty and industry experts from all over the world.

  • Modules are taught by experts from TUM and industry experts. They fly in from Germany to Singapore on an exclusive teaching basis.

Programme Structure

A variety of core modules and elective modules are offered, providing industry-relevant knowledge and skills in public transport planning and traffic engineering, railway infrastructure design and maintenance, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), among other fields. Modules in design and operation of modern transportation systems, including integrated inter-modal management systems are also available.

Next to the core modules, students can also select one of the elective modules

Ballastless Track Systems

Train Control and Signalling Systems
Modelling of Rail Infrastructure using CAD-FEM-MBS

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor’s degree (or higher), preferably in any of the following areas (but not limited to): Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and General Engineering; OR

Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered based on:

(i) Evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience; OR

(ii) Supporting evidence of competency readiness

TUM Asia reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.

Certification

Participants will be awarded the Graduate Diploma in Transportation Engineering upon successful completion.

  • Transcripts for individual module examinations can be issued to the participants upon request.
  • Completion certificate will be issued to participants after successfully fulfilling all requirements of a module ie. coursework and exams.
