Ensuring a fair level-playing field in the Public Sector Information Directive

Ahead of what could be the final trilogue meeting on the proposal for a recast of the Public
Sector Information Directive on Tuesday 22nd January 2019, EMTA, Polis and UITP would like to relay the  key points of concern for our members on this topic.

Our organisations recognise the value of a data policy because of the benefits this brings to the public they serve, but we are asking for a more balanced approach that will both help promote the European data economy as a whole as well as preserve the capacity of public service organisations to carry out their missions.
