How to plan IT/OT maintenance

Legacy systems have to be updated. That includes Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems. But an upgrade entails many changes, and operators need to be prepared for them. For one, a digitalising public transport sector needs stronger cybersecurity, meaning both digital and physical measures.

This study aims to develop maintenance and deployment plans for IT and OT components, with considerations for hardware aging and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The report comes from the Electrical Installations and Safety Systems Platform (EISS subcommittee) of the Metropolitan Railways Division.
