A traffic jam with clean cars remains a traffic jam.
Electric vehicles (EVs) are being touted as one-size-fits-all solution to sustainable mobility. However, electric vehicles alone cannot effectively facilitate the transition towards a more sustainable, equitable, and economical mobility system. Instead, we should recentre the debate on public transport and increase multimodal solutions to support new mobility behaviours that will ultimately decrease car dependency.
