Urban mobility innovator with a vision for the future: WeRide Founder and CEO Dr. Tony Han is SITCE 2024 keynote speaker

With an eye on an innovative future, the 2024 edition of the Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition (SITCE) will discuss the latest developments transforming urban mobility.

Under the 2024 edition theme “Smarter Journeys for Sustainable Cities”, leading industry experts will gather to consider the latest developments to advance public transport throughout our global cities. (6-8 November 2024).

Held in a city where innovation shines, SITCE will consider the challenges and opportunities with the biggest names in the sector – and we’re pleased to announce that one of those important voices will be our keynote speaker Dr. Tony Han.

A pioneer in computer vision, machine learning, and speech recognition, Dr. Han is the Founder and CEO of WeRide, driving innovation in urban mobility through cutting-edge autonomous driving technologies and applications.

Previously serving as Chief Scientist at Baidu’s Autonomous Driving Unit, Dr. Han has played a pivotal role in advancing self-driving technology.

During his keynote speech (6 November 2024) Dr. Han will discuss ‘Transforming Urban Living with Autonomous Driving‘, offering insights into the future of urban transportation and how autonomous vehicles will reshape our transport networks.

The LTA-UITP Singapore International Transport Congress & Exhibition (SITCE) is a leading transport event held every two years in the Asia-Pacific region, jointly organised by UITP, Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) and MSI Global Pte Ltd.

SITCE has established itself as a key platform for urban mobility stakeholders to discuss and redefine the public transport landscape, with the event bringing together policymakers, urban planners, operators as well as solution providers across the globe to forge partnerships, network, and exchange knowledge.

SITCE 2024 will feature five main topic streams during the Congress to best address the challenges facing urban mobility planners, operators, service providers, innovators, start-ups and researchers.

With three plenary sessions, six power sessions and 18 congress sessions, the five main steams will be Building a Workforce Ready for the Future, Automation and Autonomous Vehicles, Electrification and Sustainable Urban Mobility, Smart, Inclusive Transport with a new Culture for Commuters and Sustainable Infrastructure and Asset Management.

Working towards a more sustainable, resilient and seamless public transport, Asia-Pacific has become known as a testing ground for smart and pioneering sector developments.
