UITP is deeply saddened to learn of the sudden death of Bernard Tabary, Keolis Group Chief Executive Officer International and long-term UITP member.
Through his role in Keolis and long-standing public transport career, Bernard’s involvement in UITP was as lengthy as it was impressive.
His presence in our Policy Board, Committees, events and membership activities, made him a fixture within our global output.
Bernard was a trusted colleague and a respected advocate for public transport, and a valued friend to those working within our sector.
His connection to UITP began many decades ago, and today we acknowledge his sad passing by recognising his outstanding contribution to public transport.
“Bernard’s commitment to UITP was long-standing, and the contributions he made to our association will remain with us. We will miss his impressive enthusiasm, outstanding knowledge, and his passion for growing public transport around the world. His detailed expertise led him to be a well-respected friend across the sector, and his passion for urban mobility never faded. On behalf of UITP, I would like to pay great tribute to Bernard’s incredible legacy, and to share our heartfelt condolences with his family and loved ones.”
The thoughts of UITP are with Bernard’s family and loved ones during this very difficult time, and with the entire Keolis team, who will be processing this sudden loss.
