Public transport connects

And UITP connects members

In April, Metro Istanbul hosted a delegation of UITP members from India.

The delegation included officials from Delhi Metro:

  • Mr. Raman Goyal, General Manager of Operations
  • Mr. Manuj Singhal, Executive Director of Rolling Stock
  • Mr. Arun Kumar, Advisor of S&T Coordination
  • Mr. Janak Kumar Garg, Chief of Metro Rail Safety from the Ministry of Civil Aviations.

After a greeting meeting with Mr Fatih Gultekin, the Deputy General Manager of Istanbul Metro, and presentations on Istanbul Metro’s development plans, the digital twin project, and vehicle and signal projects, the delegation undertook technical visits to the metro infrastructure and stations.

UITP values these direct interactions between members as invaluable outcomes of the association’s efforts.
