And Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition, SITCE 2024 is the event where leading industry experts gather to consider how best to advance public transport throughout our global cities.

Jointly hosted by UITP, LTA Singapore and MSI under the theme “Smarter Journeys for Sustainable Cities” our delegates worked towards a more sustainable, resilient and seamless public transport to best shape the future of urban mobility.

The UITP delegation was led by our President Renée Amilcar, Secretary General Mohamed Mezghani, and dozens of expert colleagues to deliver an edition to remember.

Alongside Singaporean Transport Minister Mr Chee Hong Tat, LTA Chairman Alan Chan Heng Loon, LTA CEO Ng Lang and MSI CEO Chua Chong Kheng, our three days of activities saw congress sessions, global exhibitors, networking events, VIPs, key speeches, and international media…

With our 2024 edition

Our Opening Ceremony saw UITP President Renée Amilcar take the stage to highlight the latest developments in global public transport, followed by Transport Minister Mr Chee Hong Tat outlining Singapore’s bold approach to the future of transport, and keynote speaker Dr Tony Han, CEO of WeRide, sharing his vision for automation in urban mobility.

Our stand-out congress sessions included our Sec Gen Mohamed Mezghani moderating a plenary session centered around our 2024 theme, ‘Smarter Journeys for Sustainable Cities’.

A highlight was the New Socio-Economic Benefits of Public Transport plenary session, featuring UITP Board members Laura Shoaf, CBE, Nadine S. Lee and Alexandra Reinagl, and our President also led an impactful plenary session on ‘A Sustainable Future: Preparing Public Transport Markets with the Latest Technological Innovations‘ , all bringing discussions to our audience on what’s next for urban mobility.

The 2024 edition saw many special moments and occasions for UITP and our members, with a celebration of our Regional Training Centres across Asia-Pacific empowering the next generation of public transport leaders and the PTAANZ-UITP Young Professionals Scholarship Programme ceremony.

With such rich content, and special gatherings, SITCE 2024 is a wrap! Thank you to all our delegates and attendees for their contributions and engagement towards making our journey smarter, and our cities more sustainable.
