A lot is happening in the clean bus market today. With recent environmental regulations on clean mobility and new technologies arising and advancing, the momentum for clean bus deployment is ever growing.
In 2019 UITP was proud to announce the launch of the Clean Bus Europe Platform (CBEP). This initiative under the European Commission’s Clean Bus Deployment Initiative brings together European cities, transport authorities and operators, together with relevant stakeholders like social dialogue partners and industry to boost the exchange of knowledge and expertise on clean bus deployment.
The CBEP offers European cities the opportunity to learn from those that have already set up clean bus schemes, through tools such as study visits and webinars. Furthermore, the CBEP provides news and info on clean bus technologies (plug-in hybrid, battery electric, in-motion-charging, fuel cells & hydrogen, natural gas), aiming to act as a reference point for the sector.
Now, we are happy to announce that the Clean Bus Europe Platform has entered into a new collaboration with Sustainable-Bus.com, a leading news outlet on clean buses and sustainability.
By joining forces, the CBEP and Sustainable-Bus.com will advance content on clean buses through the CBEP Toolkit, including a Market Monitoring Tool which provides a full overview of the clean bus market today, including open tenders, orders and actual deployment of clean bus technologies.
The partners behind the Clean Bus Europe Platform are delighted to announce our new collaboration with Sustainable Bus magazine. As a leading publication within the bus sector, this partnership will advance the Platform by reaching a wider audience through regular high-end content. By strengthening the Platform as a reference point within the sector for clean bus technology, it will showcase itself as a vital tool for clean buses across Europe.
Next to the Market Monitoring Tool, the CBEP website also offers a Library including information, guidelines, legislative documentation, publications and tools on clean bus deployment.
The Clean Bus Europe Platform is financed by the European Union. It is implemented by the APOLLO-EU Consortium, consisting of UITP, POLIS, thinkstep (now Sphera), FIT Consulting and Rupprecht Consult.
